How To Throw A Vegan Party

Sadly, in this day and age, most people would be turned off by hearing the words "Vegan Party" in the same sentence. It's a turnoff to most people. As we all know, veganism is a lifestyle. Not a diet you stick to for a few days, weeks, months, etc. It's a way of thinking and living. Free from cruelty. So when people hear that all the food at a party or event, they immediately get defensive or think about how bad the food will be. Vegan food does not have a good rap among most omnivores.  If there's no meat, cheese, milk, eggs, etc in s spread of food then it's not worth eating in their minds. When in fact, most of the time, people like vegan alternatives or vegan meals more than non vegan. At least that's what I have found at my parties. The Earth Balance Cheddar Squares are better than non vegan Cheez-Itz. Cauliflower Buffalo wings are better than real chicken wings. And vegan pumpkin ginger cookies are better than ALL non vegan cookies ever!

Having vegan pizza from a local pizza place makes people realize that veganism is a thing and you can order this from somewhere. Not too mention everyone thought it was better than regular pizza with real cheese on it. People just need to get over the fact that vegan food is as good or better than non vegan food. Just accept it people. It's a fact. Also, vegan food is better for your health, the planet, and the animals so what's not to like.

Vegan Food Served:

I think it's good to have a balance of snacks that people already know and love, and maybe some new stuff.

  1. Chips, salsa, & quac are a must. Everyone already loves those + it's easy and a great snacky to put out
  2. Hummus & veggies. Snaking a veggies is great because they are for one, delicious & healthy, but also because you can put out a variety. They also look pretty :) We put out some rainbow carrots, bell peppers, cucumber, and celery
  3. Other crispy snackies. We had some pita chips, Earth Balance 'Cheddar' Squares, popcorn, and pretzels. Easy and everyone loves that
  4. Cookies. I like to make mine nice and small to they are easy to grab and there is no pressure to commit to a large dessert. I made my Pumpkin Ginger Cookies which are always a hit, but chocolate chip are great too!
  5. Brownies. I made some black bean, oil-free, gluten-free, healthy brownies to show people how delicious healthy & vegan desserts can be. A lot of people showed interest in them. And they are completely guilt free in my book :)
  6. Buffalo & BBQ Cauliflower wings. Kind of an adventurous thing for an omnivor to try, but since everything else they have had at the party is delicious, they will be more inclined to try something like this
  7. Vegan Pizza. Pizza is always a hit. No matter what the crowd is like, pizza is a great go to. You can also try something like a big spaghetti dinner or make a big batch of Mac No Cheese or One Pot Pasta. People already like pizza and pasta dishes, these are just vegan versions of their favorites
  8. Cake or cupcakes. If it's a birthday party then these are a must obviously. If it's not a birthday then these aren't that necessary. But most people love cake so they will be more inclined to try since they know they already like this dessert

Vegan blogger with a message to share:

Veganism doesn't have to be hard, unappetizing, or unhealthy. I here to show people how to make delicious healthy recipes free of many allergens like gluten but with an extra healthy twist. Many of the recipes are completley grain-free, refined sugar-free, oil-free, and made with ingredients that are of course plant based and as close to the whole plant form as possible. There less processed it is, the better. I also write blog posts on living a vegan lifestyle. Veganism isn't just about not eat animals and their byproducts, but also not buying leather or buying cosmetic products from companies who test on animals. I am here to help people on their journey to a life free of cruelty but full of positivity and happiness. I share my vegan story, cruelty free skin care routine, makeup routines, eco-friendly household products, ethical fashion, yoga and meditation, zero waste essentials, how to throw a vegan party, pantry essentials, and so many more!
